Plants Do You Good

Calling all plant friends! Hello, bonjour!

I am thrilled to share my newest passion with you.  I have recently been loving to care for my plants and have added a few more to my collection.

I have always loved the aesthetic of an indoor “jungle,” however I never truly dove into the benefits indoor plants hold over our health.

It is scientifically proven that plants can reduce stress levels as caring for, such as repotting, has shown to decrease heart rate and blood pressure.  This also relates to horticultural therapy as it increases feelings of overall well-being.

Plants filter the air we breathe and live in, this is why it leads to a boost in productivity and can actually help us recover from illnesses faster – all the more reason to have plants in your living space!

In addition, since I am relatively new to caring for my own plants I discovered an app that helps one care for their plants.  I personally had a blast adding my plants to this app and learning more in detail about what they like and what their ideal environment is.  Below I have attached a screencast of me briefly overviewing the app.  Planta is available on Google Play and the App Store.

Thanks for chiming in!

xoxo missrose
